My inspiration comes from a desire to create something of emotional value to my viewers, through the depiction of special places, people and relationships. My favourite commission to date is ‘The Place We Meet’. This painting was for a lady whose father recently died. Through meditation, she goes to a place in her mind where she meets him in spirit, a place that is just theirs. She asked me to paint a visual representation of this, so that she can connect with him any time. I found this tremendously rewarding, to be able give something of such emotional value to my client.

My inspiration has always been underpinned with a great fascination with how sunlight filters through clouds to create dramatic skies and how it plays on landscapes.

Some examples of the type of work I undertake include special places, special events (weddings, birthdays etc), holidays, murals in homes or places of work, portraits (people, pets).

My early art work focussed on pencil drawing and watercolour painting but very recently I have progressed to oil painting, which has now become my favourite medium.
